Adjustable frame fixings for timber, steel and concrete

Our frame fixings are designed for adjustable installation of window and door frames in timber, steel and concrete. The system is built around frame sleeves, substrate-specific screws and simple adjustment during installation.

This makes it easier to position the frame accurately in the opening and then choose the right fixing for the supporting substrate. Our range also includes the tools used to install and adjust the sleeve-based system.

What are frame fixings used for?

Our frame fixings are used for adjustable installation of window and door frames. The system combines frame sleeves and substrate-specific screws so the frame can be positioned, adjusted and then fixed in place.

Which substrates can your frame fixings be used in?

Our range covers installation in timber joists, steel joists, concrete and brick-based openings. The catalogue also notes use in solid brick and cored brick.

Which fixing should I use for timber, steel and concrete?

For timber joists, use M91. For steel joists, use M92, which is a self-drilling screw. For concrete and brick-based openings, use M93. The sleeve-based system stays the same, while the fixing changes with the substrate.

How is the frame sleeve installed?

The frame sleeve is installed from the outside of the frame before the window or door is lifted into position. The frame is pre-drilled with 14 mm holes, after which the sleeve is screwed out so the frame is fixed and can be adjusted in the opening.

Do steel frames need any special preparation?

Yes. The installation note states that steel frames require M16 thread in the hole. That requirement should be considered before installation starts.

Can the same concrete screw be used in solid and cored brick?

Yes, M93 is used for both concrete and solid brick as well as cored brick. For cored brick, the catalogue instruction says to pre-drill ø 6 mm.
